The lights
Reelight lights are daylight running lights for bicycles. With Reelight, you always have lights on your bike – day and night! The permanently fitted magnet lights flash when the wheels rotate and therefore work without any batteries. Reelight is a safe and solid solution that improves your freedom in traffic.

Reelight ApS was established in 2003 and today has 9 employees.
In Denmark, hundreds of thousands of cyclists have already realised how smart it is to always have lights on their bicycles, and since September 2006 Reelight has exported to a number of countries. Today, the company’s products cast light on the streets and paths of e.g. France, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, the UK, the USA, Australia and New Zealand.
Inventor
Reelight’s magnet lights were invented by a Danish engineer called Troels Pedersen. Only two years after he finished studying at the Technical University of Denmark, Troels took out a patent on this groundbreaking world sensation – bicycle lights that work day and night without using batteries. Later, the patent rights were acquired by private investors.

In order for more people to choose the bicycle as a mode of transport, it is important that cyclists have good conditions and the correct equipment. Reelight’s products shall make it easy, safe and secure for everyone to ride a bike.

Reelight is all about safety. The safety of always cycling with lights – all day long throughout the year. The safety of never cycling around in the dark with no lights because of flat batteries.
Safety is a need. We can neglect safety, forget it or be careless about it. But as long as we have full awareness, we cannot consciously opt out of safety. The need for safety is always there in traffic and it is a need that creates the market for bicycle lights.
Reelight is also about freedom, the freedom of never having to remember to take our bicycle lights with us. The freedom of never having to think about changing batteries. The freedom of never having to worry about what impact batteries have on the environment.
Freedom is a requirement. Freedom is what makes us prefer one bicycle light over another. We need bicycle lights, but actually we would rather not have to concern ourselves with them. Therefore, we want an easy solution that can free us from all the hassle and inconvenience that is often connected to lights.
