Island Hopping in Croatia

Croatia's stunning coastline and picturesque islands offer a fantastic backdrop for a biking adventure. You can bike along the Dalmatian Coast and explore the Dalmatian Islands, such as Hvar, Brac, and Korcula. Here you'll cycle along scenic coastal roads, through small fishing villages and historic towns, and discover hidden beaches. The relatively short distances between islands make it easy to hop on ferries with your bike, allowing you to explore multiple destinations in one trip.

You can plan a trip in just 7 days depending on your availability and your activity and experience, you can bike between 15-50km per day. You can include city walking tours or days at the beach if you want to bring in other activities next to the biking. You will have to take the ferry to the islands, for example, the ferry from Split to Rogač (Šolta Island).

Although the roads along the coastline aren't designed specifically for bikers, Croatian drivers are great at giving cyclists room as they pass. Croatia does however have amazing landscapes, a mild climate and the possibility to ride your bike through both the river valleys, hills and mountainous areas - as well as along the country's beautiful Mediterranean coast, which is what we would recommend for this summer. Croatia is a great location for your next biking adventure!

Tip: Pack lightweight clothing suitable for warm Mediterranean climates and plan for refreshing swims along the way.
